The second part of the retreat was Family student housing. At FSH playing field we played an exciting relay race, kickball, an intense capture the flag, and dodgeball.
After we were all worn out, we headed back to Donne’s place to eat. It was a potluck and the food served included burgers, chicken strips, chips, and soda. We then played a couple of games after, starting with Taboo, then a game in which everyone worked together to discover a secret path. We also played a game that made everyone work together to put together a story from hidden pictures. Finally, we played a fishbowl bonding game. Each person wrote down whatever it is they wanted to talk about on a slip of paper and shuffled it into a bowl. Then we each took turns to pick out one to read, then everyone would each comment on the picked out statement.
Overall, it was a fun and fulfilling conclusion to the 2-day retreat and a fresh and exciting start for HSA for the 2009 schoolyear.
